Literature Text

I keep on fighting against God in such a dirty, cruel place
My left arm has been blown off, and my wings have been teared off
I keep on fighting against God in such a dirty, cruel place
My right arm is full of scars and I’ve devoted everything

Why do I continue to keep on shooting here
Inside of this world so dark and damning?
The pain from these wounds doesn’t make any sense
Continuing to torment me incessantly

Bereavement continues to carve deep into me
As all of my emotions begin to freeze
As the number of the sacrificed rises
The question of my humanity comes frequently

I keep on fighting against God in such a dirty, cruel place
My left arm has been blown off, and my wings have been teared off
I keep on fighting against God in such a dirty, cruel place
My right arm is full of scars and I’ve devoted everything

Why do I continue to keep on fighting here
Inside of this world so fragile and creaking?
The aches from these wounds steal from me my happiness
Continuing to torment me relentlessly

I admit, I’ve abandoned any trace of my conscience
Any independent thought dies inside of me
As the number of lives ruined rises
The question of my humanity comes frequently

I keep on fighting against God in such a dirty, cruel place
My left arm has been blown off, and my wings have been teared off
I keep on fighting against God in such a dirty, cruel place
My right arm is full of scars and I’ve devoted everything

I love this song. The lyrics might be a little rough, though. It was difficult to translate, and when I was writing the English version, my mother's obnoxious family was watching this awful speech. I couldn't concentrate. I nearly lost it when my uncle tried to make me feel like an idiot. Man, I hate that guy.
